3:05 am - Las Vegas Trip with Nanny & Nathan 121109-121309
|
It had been some time since we had all talked about going to Vegas.
I wanna say probably since before I turned 21. In any case, it didn't
happen until this past December. And what a fun trip it was! The date was
perfect also since Nathans birthday had just passed a few days before.
Nanny is the perfect person to have come since she's been there tons
of times and really knows what to check out. That weekend was so much
fun that on the way home we were talking about going back already!
The weekend included lots of booze and smoke, silly photos in Downtown
Vegas and in our hotel room, breakfast with a drink and some gambling
after, and late night dinner buffets. The only unfortunate thing that happened
that weekend is that a day before I found out that our oldest kitty at my
mom's house was really sick and didn't look too good. The next day while
we were on the road heading to Vegas, I got the call from my mom that
she passed. I know she lived a good long life but it was really sad to know
that she was gone. She was a part of my childhood and it made me soo
sad. I'm just glad she's resting now and that she was in our lives. I cried
a little in the car and spent the weekend remembering her. Little Monique..
Well, sorry to have brought the mood down..soon enough though we
made it to Vegas and had some fun, so here's my update..

8:47 pm - Cloud & Sky Junkie 001
|
Ever since I was a kid I would always find myself looking up into the
sky and staring at the clouds and blue sky. I loved looking for forms
or shapes in the clouds and seeing things that only I could visualize.
It was always fun. My mom would have me look up at scattered clouds
across the sky and tell me how they were like little sheep running across
the sky. It was always something that I did and I still find myself to this
day doing it all the time, thus all the cloud and sky photos. For me it brings
me a calm and peaceful feeling. And it's been something that I've been used
to for a long time.
With that I feel that the majority of my cloud and sky photos deserve their
own section here. So from now on I plan to accumulate my miscellaneous
cloud and sky photos into an entry as this one. Enjoy the photos and I hope
to bring you lots of variations of the clouds and sky high above us.

10:18 pm - Photo Update 1

Well I hope everyone is having a nice Xmas today with their friends and family,
first of all! In other news I am realizing that it wasn't such a good idea to go idle
for close to 2 months because now I am backed up on photos! I am glad to say
though that I feel this idle time will be coming to an end! With the holidays passing
and a new year starting, I feel like this is a perfect time for a new beginning in many
ways. Especially with my blog and life. It seems so hard to see another year pass us
by but at the same time we get to start another year as a new beginning to our lives and
our futures. A hope for a better year ahead!!
With that said, in order to start a new year right, I must clean out the photo archives
for 2009 heading back to October when I last wrote an actually blog entry. The accumulation
of photos has built up as well as the fun memories!

5:38 pm - Quickie..
|
It's very hard to believe that this year is coming to a close. I can't believe
that Thanksgiving already came and went. And with that I hope everyone
had a nice thanksgiving with their friends and family!! And I have to apologize
for my lack of updates or photos on here. I've been doing a lot of debating on
where I want to go with this blog and what I want to do. Still not entirely sure,
but I guess I can take it day by day as I go along and see how it all feels.
In any case, since my last update things have been in a progressively steady
pace. Work has been good and I have already received a raise which made me
super happy! Plus I will be able to buy a bus pass and get reimbursed for it which
is another big plus! I also got a side project from the auditor at work so that gave me
some extra hours to work at home and get some extra untaxed cash which is very
needed. In the social front I haven't done too much but just enough to make me
happy. I got to spend Raquels' birthday with her in Long Beach and we had an
awesome day of Hole Mole food, Molaa, and some afternoon tea/latte lounging at
the coffee shop. The following day I had plans to meet with Erin for some brunch
with a few girls at 212 Bistro for bottomless mimosas. Let's just say the food was
great, and the mimosas even better. I got nicely hammered to the point that I was
slurring my words and could barely walk up stairs. After our brunch and fun was over
Nathan picked me up and we made our way to the mall to go to Bath & Body Works
to buy some handsoaps. How I made it in the mall and in the store I will never know.
It was honestly all a messy blurr. It was insane. I never thought I could get so hammered
off champagne but it is easy to drink lots of it and not realize how drunk you really are!
Somehow I stumbled in the house, made my way to the bathroom and then finally to
bed at about 6pm. I am glad I was able to wake up a few ours later still slightly buzzed
but feeling better. That was a crazy day!!
Haha, well other than that Thanksgiving was nice and mellow. I got to see my mom which
is always nice and Nathan's family. We had lots of food and a nice time together. Well for
now that's it. I will make a good photo update to catch up on the photos and possibly a
few other things along the way. So what have I missed with everyone out there? Anything
you'd like to share about what's going on with you? Do share if so :)
